Legalease recently suffered a hacking attack, which resulted in unauthorized third parties being able to access an unknown amount of email contact data for a period of 27 days (13th March 2021 to 8th April 2021). This data included work email addresses, names, company names and job titles but did NOT contain home addresses, phone numbers, usernames, passwords, or any other personal identifying information. Nor did the data contain information (whether confidential or non-confidential) about any law firm or Legalease customer.
We sincerely regret this data breach. Appropriate defensive steps have been taken, and new processes implemented. The data breach has been reported to the UK regulator (the ICO – the Information Commissioners Office).
